Dental Care Before Pregnancy
If you are considering becoming pregnant in the near future, we would recommend scheduling a routine hygiene examination before conceiving if possible. We can thoroughly inspect your mouth for signs of decay or areas that may need dental treatment. During pregnancy, there are certain treatments we prefer to avoid. Pregnancy can also change the state of your oral health, and if a problem develops during pregnancy, we will have an idea of what changed based on your dental records.
Dental Care During Pregnancy
If you are pregnant, there is no need to postpone your routine dental care. During your hygiene examination, be sure to share with our team if you have experienced frequent morning sickness and vomiting. We can be sure to continue to thoroughly monitor the state of your tooth enamel for signs of wear or erosion following pregnancy. We also highly suggest being diligent with your oral hygiene routine at home. Be sure to thoroughly brush and floss regularly.
Dental Care After Pregnancy
Dealing with a newborn can be overwhelming, and it can be difficult for a new mom to find time for herself. Be sure to continue to make your oral health a priority during this time. If you experienced any oral health issues during your pregnancy, treatment can now be scheduled.
