Look & Feel Great With A Perfectly Aligned Smile
Would you love to improve the placement and appearance of your teeth? We know that many patients are unhappy with issues such as crooked teeth, overcrowding, spaces between teeth and bite issues. Clear Aligners Improve Function of Teeth
When patients are looking to improve the placement of their teeth, we often suggest clear aligners. This treatment uses clear trays to slowly transition teeth into the desired placement. We have a number of patients who show interest in improving the appearance of their teeth. Of course, aesthetics play a part in the desire to make a change, but our recommendation for orthodontic treatment is primarily to improve the function of the teeth. As Dr. Brown explains in the video, teeth that are not properly aligned often put disproportionate amounts of stress on the wrong area of the mouth. This can lead to faster wear of the teeth, the potential for teeth to chip and just not function as well overall.
Process Prior to Treatment
The process of using clear aligners is completed right in our office and is specifically designed for our adult patients. When patients visit our office with an interest in clear aligners, we begin the process by taking a number of digital scans and images of the teeth. As seen in the video, the digital scans and images are used to create a digital model to help explain the process of clear aligners. The portal we share with patients shows how teeth will transition with each tray. We are able to show patients the transformation over time and give a detailed estimate of the number of trays needed for the upper and lower teeth. The number of trays determines the length of treatment. Dr. Brown explains that even when the lower teeth need to be adjusted, there will be some treatment time for the upper teeth as well to get a uniform fit and vice versa.
