COVID-19 Office Updates
We can hardly believe all the changes we have gone through since reopening our practice on May 4th after being shut down due to COVID-19. As you can imagine, we had to quickly make many changes in order to continue to keep you safe and give you the best dental care and experience possible. As we continue to work through streamlining our processes, we’d like to tell you about some new upgrades we’ve made that keep your safety in mind as well as providing you the best service possible. Watch the video above to learn more!
As Dr. Gettings explains in the video, we first want to thank you for your patience. We had been closed for two months and it has taken that same amount of time to get back up and running at full capacity. This has created delays and there is a backlog we are working through. That doesn’t mean we will cut any corners, though. Again, your care is our top priority.
Along with the current safety protocols in place that include everyone in the office being required to wear a mask and our patient check in and screening process, we’ve added in these additional changes:
- As a result of the new safety measures, our call volume has increased. To accommodate this change, we are excited to announce that we are upgrading our phone system in the next month or so to help streamline the process to better handle your calls.
- We are also trying to limit the amount of times you need to come into the office. To do this, we are working to combine appointments for treatments. For example, if you need two fillings we will work to have those fillings completed in one visit rather than two.
- We continue to utilize Zoom calls for consultations. It allows us to give you the attention you need without the unnecessary exposure of seeing us in the office. In addition, this allows patients to involve their spouse or parent more easily , as well.
- We can now more quickly test to make sure our instruments are sterile. We are one of the first practices to utilize this new system from 3M.
We want you to know that everyday we are looking for ways to keep you and our staff safe. Whether it’s reading articles, watching videos, or listening to experts, we will continue to improve upon our protocols and want you to feel comfortable and confident coming back in for your dental treatments.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to call our office. We will be happy to speak with you.
