Did You Know We Offer This?
We hope your New Year is off to a great start. At Brown & Kupper, DDS we look forward to helping patients like you take great care of their teeth in 2020 and beyond. Dental care not only helps maintain a healthy mouth but most patients find they get a confidence boost when they feel good about their smile. In fact, we have one treatment in particular for patients who desire straighter teeth who have been thrilled with the results from this discrete treatment.
If you or a family member would like straighter teeth, Invisalign clear aligners are an alternative choice to metal braces.
Advantages of Invisalign
Thanks to modern dental technology, Invisalign performs the same function as metal braces but can provide a more comfortable experience. While they help straighten crooked teeth and treat overcrowding, there are several additional advantages to using Invisalign:
- You can remove the aligners to eat, and don’t have to avoid any foods.
- You can brush and floss your teeth more thoroughly to maintain your oral health.
- Clear aligners are more aesthetically pleasing, most people hardly notice you’re wearing them.
- They’re more comfortable than rigid metal brackets and wires that can irritate your gums and the inside of your mouth.
The most appealing aspect of Invisalign is that, aesthetically, they’re barely noticeable. Teenagers and adults who would otherwise avoid braces because they don’t want a mouth full of metal will be pleased to know they can have straighter teeth and keep a white smile at the same time.
How Invisalign Works
Invisalign treatments involve aligner trays made of a clear and flexible polyurethane plastic worn for 20-22 hours a day. They can be removed for eating as well as brushing and flossing. Like traditional braces, the clear aligners gradually shift teeth into a preferred position using controlled force.
It typically takes between 12 and 18 months to reach a desired outcome, but the length of treatment is unique for each patient.
Our patients tell us how life-changing this treatment has been for them. It has improved their confidence in ways they never imagined.
